After taking cognizance from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the UP government has banned food products related to Halal certificate. Testing of Halal certified products is also starting in the state from today. For this, inspectors of the Food and Drug Department will go to the markets and start investigation. Last Saturday, the Yogi government had issued orders to ban the manufacture, storage, distribution and sale of Haval certified products.
The work of certification of food items in the country rests with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). There are also four separate entities for Halal certification, namely Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Halal Trust, Halal India Private Limited, Halal Certification Services India Private Limited and Jamiat Ulema-e-Maharashtra. Of these, Jamiat Halal Trust has said that it will approach the Supreme Court against the decision of the Yogi government. The trust says that the Commerce Ministry of India has given them permission to do such certification.
Demand to ban Halal products across the country
Let us tell you that after the ban in UP, Bajrang Dal has now demanded a ban on Halal products across the country. Bajrang Dal alleges that terrorists and their activities are funded with this money. In this case, UP Police will send notice to four named organizations today. Lucknow Police has started investigation in this matter.

4. Jamiat Ulema e Maharashtra
Jamiat Ulama-e-Maharashtra is a branch of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind. Its work is to protect Islamic beliefs, identity, heritage and places of worship, and to protect the civil, religious, cultural and educational rights of Muslims. It is said that this NGO working for the Muslim community also gives scholarship to Hindu students.

Action will be taken against those who ignore the rules
After receiving instructions from CM Yogi, Saharanpur district administration has formed a team to check the products with Halal certificate. Saharanpur DM Dr. Dinesh Chandra Singh said that all the SDMs of the district and a team of 14 officers of the Food Safety Department as well as the Drug Department have been directed to check the products with Halal certificate. Along with malls, restaurants and medicine shops in Saharanpur district, other shops will also be inspected. If any person disobeys the rules, action will be taken against him as per rules.
