UP STF arrested the fraudsters
In Uttar Pradesh, an impersonator who pretended to be a government official and interfered in transfers, postings and other government work in various departments has been caught. UP STF has arrested a youth on serious charges including fraud. Along with the young man, one of his companions has also been arrested. Police have registered a case against the accused under serious sections. At present, he will be presented in the court and sent on remand.
According to the information, UP STF has arrested Ramshankar Gupta alias Ashish Kumar Gupta, who interfered in many government offices by posing as Chief Minister’s Protocol Officer and UP Investment Secretary. The accused is accused that apart from tampering with confidential documents, he also used to cheat people in the name of getting political posts/tenders. Police have also arrested another associate of Ram Shankar, Arvind Tripathi alias Ganesh Tripathi alias Guruji.
According to the information received from the police, Ramshankar Gupta is a resident of Vishnupuri Colony of Aliganj police station, Lucknow. Arvind Tripathi is said to be a resident of Trinagar Keshavpuram in Ashok Vihar, New Delhi. The police have also recovered many important documents from both the accused. UPSTF said that both the accused have been arrested from Bansmondi Road near Social Welfare Office Tirahe of Vibhutikhand police station area.
Police have registered a case against both the accused under sections 170, 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of IPC in Vibhutikhand police station. At present, after the interrogation, the police will start investigation on other aspects also. According to the information received from the police, both the accused are very clever and were committing fraud incidents continuously for many days. After a long raid they could be arrested.
