UP government minister AK Sharma warned that action will be taken against all the leaders associated with the electricity union who went on strike under ESMA (Essential Services Protection Act) and National Security Act (NSA).

Lucknow: Common people are getting upset due to the strike of Bilji workers in Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday, several hours of power cut was seen in many districts of the state. Meanwhile, the leaders of the electricity organization arrived at the house of AK Sharma, Energy Minister of the UP government, for a meeting on Saturday evening. This meeting was held to end the strike. In such a situation, it is believed that soon the people of the state can get relief from the diagnosis of electricity. At the same time, on Saturday, the UP government has fired 1332 employees working on contract in the electricity department.
Minister AK Sharma said that the outsourcing companies were asked to keep other employees at these places till tomorrow (Sunday). Along with this, he told that a case is being registered against 22 leaders of Vidyut Karmachari Sangharsh Samiti. Action will be taken against all of them under ESMA (Essential Services Protection Act) and National Security Act (NSA).
Energy Minister gave this warning
On Saturday, the minister once again warned, saying, 1332 employees have been fired. I request all the people working on contract to come back to work within four hours (by 6 pm) otherwise they will be thrown out today (Saturday) night itself. The UP government is looking very strict regarding the strike of the electricity employees.
Power cut in many parts of the state
About 1 lakh workers participated in the strike under the banner of Electricity Employees Union and Electricity Employees Joint Struggle Committee. The employees who went on strike demonstrated across the state. The strike by electricity workers has affected its supply in the state. On Saturday, electricity supply was partially affected in many areas of Kanpur due to the strike by the electricity employees of the state.
