Lucknow: A big news has come out from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Here MP/MLA court former state president of UP Congress Ajay Lallu is sentenced to one year’s imprisonment. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of ten thousand rupees on him. It is being told that Congress State President Ajay Lallu had accused the involvement of former Energy Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Shrikant in the DHFL scam case. On this Mr. Kant Sharma had filed a defamation claim against him.
According to media reports, in the year 2019, the then cabinet minister Shrikant Sharma filed a complaint against former UP Congress president Ajay Lallu. On which the court has given its verdict today. Significantly, after the crushing defeat of the Congress in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, he had resigned from the post of state president.
What is the matter?
In fact, on November 7, 2019, Shrikant Sharma, a former cabinet minister of the UP government, had filed a defamation case against the Congress state president. On which Lallu was sent a defamation notice and asked to apologize within the next 1 week. Since, Lallu had given false, objectionable statements on him.
During this, Shrikant Sharma had clarified that he had nothing to do with DHFL. Also, he never went on a foreign trip. Taking action on this, Mr. Kant Sharma appealed in the civil court for civil action for damages.
