Kolkata News: West Bengal teacher recruitment scam The connection of Tollywood has come to the fore. Enforcement Directorate’s lawyer told the court that the accused of corruption in the recruitment Kuntal Ghosh A huge amount of financial transactions have been done from several bank accounts of The ED’s counsel claimed in the city sessions court on Friday that Rs 6.5 crore went to different people from two bank accounts of Kuntal. Investigators found that a large part of this money tollywood was also installed in ED is going to start a detailed investigation in this matter. On the other hand, today the court rejected the bail plea of Kuntal Ghosh. He has been ordered jail custody till 30 March.
ED’s lawyer Firoz Edulji pleaded for re-custody of Kuntal and told the court that money went to many stars from Kuntal’s bank account. ED will soon start calling them one by one.
Kuntal gave 6.5 crores to Tollywood actors and actresses
According to sources in the probe, the investigators have already found out that the recruits were involved in corruption because of their close links with Kuntal and Shantanu Banerjee. However, ED officials are probing the relationship between the two. The judge of the City Sessions Court told Kuntal Ghosh’s lawyer, “Such a huge amount has been transacted through a bank account, its source should be known.” The ED’s counsel told the judge that Kuntal Ghosh had confessed to the investigators that he had obtained the money through illegal means. The judge was then heard saying, “Having earned Rs 5 crore illegally and paying Rs 2 crore as income tax does not make that money legal.”

ED will summon actors and actresses, will interrogate
The judge wanted to know from his lawyer that what is the source of such a huge amount in Kuntal Ghosh’s account. ED had applied for 14 days custody of Kuntal. Have requested to go to jail and inquire. The judge adjourned the hearing after hearing the statements of both the parties. It is said that actor Boney Sengupta had taken about Rs 40 lakh from Kuntal Ghosh for acting in two films, on the basis of which Boney had to be interrogated by the ED for two days. However, according to the Central Investigation Agency, Boney is not alone. Kuntal had financial dealings with several other Tollywood actors and actresses. Boney Sengupta and Soma Chakraborty have returned the amount of about one crore rupees taken from Kuntal Ghosh.
