Earlier, the government had called a special meeting of the assembly on 22 September to seek the trust vote. But Governor Banwarilal Purohit did not allow this. The government also said that it would challenge the move of Raj Bhavan in the High Court.
Gov/Presi consent before any session of Legislature is a formality. In 75 years, no Presi/Gov ever asked list of Legislative business before calling session. Legislative business is decided by BAC and speaker. Next Gov will ask all speeches also to be approved by him.its too much

Mann government will approach the High Court
At the same time, Chief Minister Mann said in a statement that the state government will approach the Supreme Court against the arbitrary and undemocratic decision of the Governor to protect the democratic rights of the people and the federal rights of the states. The Chief Minister also targeted the Congress, accusing it of supporting the BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’.
“The irony is that the biggest victim of such undemocratic action is the Congress itself standing with the BJP,” Mann said. He alleged that Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP are standing together in this horrific step, which is aimed at toppling the democratically elected government.
