Who will be the Gujarat winner on December 8?
About 2 crore voters are expected to vote in the first phase of Gujarat elections till 5 pm. The first phase of polling will decide the fate of 788 candidates on 89 assembly seats in Gujarat. And for the second phase, on December 5, votes will be cast on the remaining 93 seats. The results of the Gujarat assembly elections will come on December 8. Along with Gujarat, the election results of Himachal Pradesh will also come on December 8.
At present, both these states are ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP, which has been in power in Gujarat for nearly three decades, is making all-out efforts to form the government this time too. Generally, the main contest in Gujarat used to be between BJP vs Congress, but this time all the political equations have been disturbed due to the entry of the third player. This third party is the Aam Aadmi Party, which is fielding candidates on 181 out of all 182 seats in the state and for the first time creating a situation of triangular contest in the state.
