Daughter thrown into Yamuna
A case of a father killing his daughter and throwing her in the Yamuna river has come to light from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Along with the accused father, the uncle of the victim girl was also involved in this act. Thinking that both of them were dead, they threw her in the river and ran away. During this time the girl was saved by divers and the police was called and informed. Police have registered a complaint against both of them.
In Bamrauli Katara area, police had received the news of drowning of a girl from Yamuna river late on the night of 8 February. The police team reached the spot and sent the girl to a shelter.
Rajesh Kumar lives with his four children in Hirapura village of Akbarabad in Aligarh district. Of these, one daughter studies in 9th class. The girl met a boy while studying in school. After this both of them became friends and started talking on the phone for hours. On the evening of January 5, when the student was talking to the boy on the phone, her father came there. During this, the father overheard their conversation, after which the father instructed the daughter to stay away from all these things. She also said that she would never talk to that boy. Even after her father's refusal, she did not agree, after which the family considered it right to send her to her maternal home in Etah and sent her to Etah in January itself. The girl was living at her grandmother's house for about a month.

Divers saved their lives
It is alleged that even during this time the girl was in contact with the boy. On the evening of 8 February, the girl's father reached her grandmother's house in Etah on his bike. Going there, he told his daughter that he was taking her to Gurugram to see the boy. The girl agreed to go with her father. While on the way, we also met the girl's uncle in Firozabad. Meanwhile, on the way, both the youths stopped at a dhaba and had food and also drank alcohol. After this, they took the two girls on a bike and brought them from Bamrauli Katara to Samogar Ghat, the barrel bridge of Yamuna. Here they took the girl off the bike and tried to kill her by suffocating her by covering her mouth with a muffler. After this, both of them considered the girl dead and threw her into the river. Both of them immediately ran away from there on their bike. After the departure of her father and uncle, the girl who was drowning in the river raised an alarm to save herself.
The girl was lucky that at that time there were four divers present under the bridge, who heard her screams and ran to save her. During this time the girl had gone about 300 meters further in the Yamuna. However, the water in the river was slightly less during this time. Divers without wasting time jumped into the river to save her and brought the girl out. The girl was shivering due to getting wet in the river in the extreme cold, the divers lit a fire there to save her. After this those divers called the police and informed.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police registered a case against the father and uncle. The police team sent the girl to a shelter and started further investigation.
