But once the pollution has increased in Delhi-NCR with the drop in temperature. Here the Air Quality Index (AQI) remains in the very poor category. While in many areas it has reached from very bad to serious category.
AQI above 400
On the other hand, according to the latest data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI of many areas of Delhi has crossed 400 today (Sunday). According to CPCB, AQI 410 was recorded at Anand Vihar station till around 10 pm on Saturday night. At the same time, Delhi’s average air quality index ie 370 was recorded, which falls in the very poor category.
Temperature of Delhi
An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 ‘very poor’. An AQI between 500 to 500 is considered ‘severe’. On the other hand, according to media reports, the Meteorological Department said that today (Sunday) the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 8 degrees Celsius.
