Jaisalmer Anti-Corruption Bureau, taking major action in the education department, arrested the education officer for taking a bribe of Rs 50,000. District Education Officer (DEO) Hal CBO Kesardan Ratnu had only five days left in his retirement before he was arrested. In fact, Ratnu had demanded two lakh rupees for the teacher’s salary settlement and cooperation in the investigation. Today on Thursday, he was arrested red-handed at the shop of Chauhtan stationery taking a bribe of 50 thousand. Along with this, two brokers have also been caught by the ACB team.

Babulal, the third grade teacher engaged in Malle Ka Baria School located in Chauhtan, Barmer, had complained to Jaisalmer ACB. In his complaint, he had said that Kesardan Ratnu District Education Officer (Preliminary) Barmer had demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from me in return for getting full benefits for my suspended period and helping in the departmental inquiry. I don’t want to bribe. This complaint was verified by the Jaisalmer ACB team on August 24, in which the matter was found to be true.

According to ACB DSP Annaraj, after verification, the first installment of bribe was to be given by the complainant to CBO Kesardan Ratnu on Thursday. At the same time, the ACB team caught two touts red-handed with a bribe of fifty thousand rupees. One lakh rupees of bribe was to be paid the next day, but the team executed the action before that.
