Rajasthan News: In Rajasthan’s Tonk district, the administration has shut down the internet till August 1 due to security reasons. The administration issued an order late on Saturday night saying that the internet will be closed for 48 hours in Malpura and Toda areas. On the other hand, instead of the old route, another route has been arranged for Kanwar Yatra.
In view of the incidents of communal violence in many districts in Rajasthan during the last few months, the police department is now in alert mode. In this episode, the police administration is keeping a special watch regarding the Kanwar Yatra going out in different cities of the state in the month of Sawan. On the beginning of the Kanwar Yatra, the registration of every Kavadiya who participated in the Yatra was made mandatory by the Jaipur Police Commissionerate.
At the same time, the district administration has issued orders for netbandi regarding the Kanwar Yatra leaving in Tonk district on Monday. The Tonk district administration has decided to shut down the internet in Malpura and Todarai Singh subdivisions for two days in connection with the Kavad Yatra to be taken out by Shiv Kavad Yatra Committee on August 1, whose orders have been issued. The administration says that the netbandi has been put in place to maintain law and order in the area and to prevent the spread of misinformation, rumours.

Last time two communities clashed
The administration says that it is taking all the steps because it does not want that the atmosphere should be spoiled like last time. In fact, last time in Malpura and Toda there was a dispute between a particular community and Kanwar Yatris regarding the Kanwar Yatra. In view of this, the administration has asked to keep the net closed in these areas for 48 hours so that the situation does not worsen as before and rumors do not spread.

Kanwariyas will have to register
