Punjab Govt: The Punjab government has announced to waive off the electricity bills of all domestic category consumers. The Punjab government had promised to waive the electricity bill before the elections. Now fulfilling this promise, the government of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has waived off the outstanding electricity bills of all domestic category consumers till December 31, 2021. Punjab State Power Corporation has also issued a notification in this regard.
The cost of new connection will be given
The decision of the government in this regard has been described by the Punjab Power Minister as a relief step for the defaulting domestic electricity consumers. Power Minister Harbhajan Singh said that those who have not paid their outstanding bills till 30 June 2022, their outstanding bills till 31 December 2021 have been waived off. This decision of the government has brought great relief to the people. The government says that the cost of getting the connection again will also be given.

300 units free electricity
Power Minister Harbhajan Singh says that it is not possible to restore the electricity connections which have been cut. They will be reissued by PSPCL on the request of the applicant. Explain that the government is providing 300 units of free electricity every month to all the eligible residents of the state.
