New Delhi: National Investigation Agency (NIA) banned Popular Front of India (PFI) 19 leaders have been accused of hatching a criminal conspiracy against India. National Investigation Agency (NIA) has accused 19 leaders of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) of hatching a criminal conspiracy against India. NIA has frozen 37 bank accounts of PFI as well as 40 bank accounts of 19 people associated with PFI to clamp down on Popular Front of India.
NIA has revealed in its investigation that PFI was conspiring to divide the country on communal lines. According to the agency, PFI wanted to uproot the present governance system of the country. Was working towards making India an Islamic state. It has also been revealed in the investigation that PFI was giving salary to its terrorist operatives and weapons across the country.

‘Radicalising Muslim youth’
PFI had hatched a conspiracy to radicalize Muslim youth to hatch a conspiracy against the Government of India. He used to administer oath of allegiance and loyalty to the ideology to connect these youths with PFI. Not only this, he was also giving them training ranging from weapons training to bomb making and fund raising.
Home Ministry banned for five years
The Union Home Ministry has banned the Popular Front of India under the UAPA Act for five years.
