40 boats burnt to ashes in Visakhapatnam

A similar scene was seen in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where a boat of fishermen caught fire in the sea. This fire was so terrible that within no time it engulfed other boats parked nearby.
A video of fire in these boats parked in the sea has surfaced. It can be clearly seen how fierce the fire was. Flames are spreading all around, while smoke is billowing in the sky. According to the information, this accident happened due to a sudden fire in a boat kept in Fishing Harbor late on Sunday night, after which the fire engulfed other boats also. Due to which all the boats standing there were burnt to ashes.
The fire broke out on a boat at Vishakhapatnam fishing harbour and then spread to nearly 35 fibre-mechanised boats at midnight. Police and fire teams responded immediately. 40 boats burnt to ashes in fire
It is being told that about 40 boats have been burnt to ashes in this fire. On the other hand, as soon as information about the accident was received, police and fire department officials reached the spot and started trying to extinguish the fire. The fire was so fierce that the fire department had to work hard to control it. There was panic all around after the accident. A crowd of people gathered at the spot.

Police engaged in investigation of the case

Visakhapatnam’s ADG Ravi Shankar told that all the boats were standing on the shore. During this time, a boat caught fire in the presence of some boys. According to ADG, it is suspected that the fire may have started while the boys were partying. He told that the boat which caught fire had a full tank of diesel and gas cylinder.
