Today (November 30, Wednesday) at 3:30 the court gave this decision. Nawab Malik had filed a petition for bail due to health reasons. He is currently admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment. The court rejected his appeal. That means Nawab Malik will have to spend further time in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail.
Now Nawab Malik can approach the Bombay High Court against this decision. In February, the ED arrested him in a money laundering case. He is accused of having bought land worth crores at throwaway prices in the Goawala Compound in Kurla area of Mumbai. The land deal was done with Salim Patel, a henchman of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar and Mumbai bomb blast accused Sardar Shah Wali Khan. By force, the owner of the land got the power of attorney done in the name of both of them and the land deal was done. After this deal, 55 lakh rupees were delivered to Haseena Parkar. It is alleged that this money was used for terror funding and after this deal, incidents of bomb blasts took place in Mumbai.
