New flyovers are also being constructed. In this series, the foundation stone of five road projects costing Rs 2,300 crore was also laid in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, 20 flyovers will also be built in the state. During a program, Minister Nitin Gadkari said that since 2014 till now the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned projects worth Rs 2.5 lakh crore for Madhya Pradesh. Even before the end of 2024, the figure will increase to 400000 crores.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said during a program in Indore that the road transport corporations of the states across the country can never be profitable because their buses run on expensive diesel. Passenger tickets for an air-conditioned bus can easily be up to 30% cheaper than that of a diesel-run bus.
During this, Nitin Gadkari emphasized on reducing the use of diesel fuel in the public transport infrastructure of the country. He also said that passenger tickets for electric buses can be 30% cheaper than diesel buses.
Need to change transport system with visionary thinking: Gadkari
He further informed that the entire central government is going ahead with the plan of 50,000 electric buses across the country. He said that we need to change the country’s transport system with visionary thinking. Instead of petrol diesel, fuel like electricity, green hydrogen, ethanol, bio CNG and bio LNG should be encouraged more and more in trains.
