According to reports, on Tuesday (September 12) morning, three members of the Kuki tribe were shot dead by outlawed terrorist groups in Kangpopki district of the state. The incident occurred today at around 7 am. As a result of these killings, there is a tense situation in the area.

A police officer aware of the entire incident said, “As soon as information about the incident was received, Asal Rifles and state police officers reached the spot. After this the firing stopped. When the force arrived, the armed accused ran away. “The surrounding area has been cordoned off and a search operation is currently underway to locate them.” According to a committee focused on tribal communities, all three deceased are said to be members of the Kuki community.
