CPI-ML MLA Manoj Manzil has been sentenced to life imprisonment. The court has sentenced the MLA to life imprisonment in the case of murder of farmer Jai Prakash Singh of Badgaon village of Azimabad police station area of Bhojpur district. In this case, 23 people including the MLA have been sentenced to life imprisonment. After the charges were proved, the Male MLA was arrested from Ara Court itself and sent to Ara Mandal Jail. Apart from the punishment, Manoj Manzil will also have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000. On Tuesday, Satendra Singh's MP-MLA court sentenced 23 including MLA Manzil to life imprisonment. Manoj Manzil's assembly membership may be terminated after the sentencing.
In fact, MLA leader Satish Yadav was murdered in Bargaon on 20 August 2015. After this massacre, farmer JP Singh was also murdered. The body of JP Singh was recovered from near Berath bridge of Chauri police station area. On the statement of JP Singh's son, a case was registered against 23 nominees including Manoj Manzil. After this the trial was going on in the court. A date was set for a hearing on the sentencing point on Tuesday.
First election was contested in 2015
Manoj Manzil's political beginning was from the student movement from the AISA wing of the party. In 2015, CPI(ML) had fielded him in the election field. Then he had to face defeat. In the 2020 assembly elections, Manoj Manzil again contested from Agiaon (reserved seat) on Male ticket and defeated JDU's Prabhunath Ram. Manoj Manzil was also arrested during his nomination, later he came out on bail.

After the sentencing in the case, Manoj Manzil said that this is a political conspiracy. The feudal forces have deliberately trapped me. But we are not afraid. Will go to the High Court and after coming out, will raise the voice of the poor more loudly.
