Maharashtra Politics: Controversy is still going on regarding the statement made on Shivaji. Maharashtra’s Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has now once again created another controversy. The Eknath Shinde BJP government was not emboldened by the recent remarks made by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari that Tourism Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha has again given a controversial statement. Now Mangal Prabhat has compared Shivaji’s escape from Agra during his imprisonment by Mughal ruler Aurangzeb with the political incident of Eknath Shinde faction MLAs going to Guwahati. This statement of the BJP leader has created upheaval in the politics of Maharashtra.
The governor had said ‘Shivaji has become old’
Please inform that earlier Governor Bhagat Singh had said that “Shivaji is now old. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari are the new heroes.” Due to this remark, the opposition parties demanded his removal from the post of Governor. On the other hand, Aditya Thackeray, leader of the Uddhav group, has also condemned Lodha’s remarks. He has said that “it was part of a planned operation. It seems that defaming Shivaji is a one-point program of this government. Earlier the governor used to talk like this and now the ministers are also saying the same. This is an insult to Shivaji.”
