Anand Nyamagouda: A video of Congress MLA from Karnataka is becoming increasingly viral, in which he is threatening a policeman. In the viral video, it can be seen that the Congress MLA is shouting at the policeman with foul language. The case is of Bagalkote district Jamarkhandi, where Congress MLA Anand Nyamagouda can be heard telling the policeman that ‘I will not leave you’.
Actually, a circle was to be constructed here in the city, for whose inspection the MLA had arrived. The policemen were trying to tell the MLA why the construction of the circle should not be done. Meanwhile, the MLA got enraged and asked the policeman to keep quiet. Congress MLA Nyamagouda told the policeman in a threatening tone that ‘you don’t know anything about it’. I know that you have the support of the government, but remember that when our government comes, I will not leave you.
Who are you to decide right and wrong?
Seeing the shouting at the policeman, the Congress leaders tried to pacify the MLA, but he did not listen. The MLA did not stop at this only. Threatening, he further said, ‘Are you an MLA? You tell who are you to decide right and wrong… You do your work. Assembly elections are to be held in Karnataka this year, and in such a situation, this attitude of MLA Anand Nyamagouda can create problems for the Congress at the local level. This is not the first case of dispute between Congress leaders and policemen.
In a viral video #Congress MLA Anand Nyamagouda is allegedly seen abusing and threatening a PSI in Jamkhandi, #Bagalkote. Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar had called DGP Praveen Sood ‘worthless’. With this statement of Shivkumar, the Congress had to face all-round criticism. The president of the state unit had said that ‘our DGP is incompetent and he is not fit for his job’. Describing the DGP as a BJP worker, Shivakumar had said that ‘how long will he (DGP) work like a BJP worker?’ Not only this, Shivkumar had also threatened the DGP that ‘if he comes to power, he will take action against the DGP’.
