Jabalpur News: For the first time in Jabalpur, Congress and BJP councilors are going to take oath on different dates. Let us inform that the elected mayor of Congress Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu will take oath on August 7.
The confrontation between Congress and BJP has started even before assuming power in Jabalpur Municipal Corporation. BJP and Congress have come face to face for the swearing-in. For the first time in the history of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Congress and BJP councilors are going to take oath on different dates. By the way, Congress’s elected mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu is going to take oath on 7th August in the presence of its veteran leader Kamal Nath.
Politics started before taking oath
Political pundits say that the results that have come out for the city government in Jabalpur have made it so clear that in the coming 5 years, there will be a lot of politics in the house of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation. But, no one had any idea that this politics would start even before the swearing-in. In fact, after 18 years, the Congress has returned to the municipal corporation and has taken possession of the mayor’s post. But the Congress has lagged behind the BJP in terms of the number of councillors.
Now on 7th August, Congress has organized a grand swearing-in ceremony in which former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has also been invited. The Congress has also invited BJP councilors to the swearing-in ceremony, but the BJP has distanced itself from the ceremony. Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu says that BJP should not break the tradition of Municipal Corporation and get all the councilors sworn together by rising above politics.

BJP will take oath on August 8
Here, BJP councilors say that the organization has made it certain that they will not attend the swearing-in ceremony to be held on August 7. The BJP will separately hold its swearing-in ceremony on August 8 in the municipal corporation premises. It is being said that BJP has boycotted the swearing-in ceremony because former Chief Minister Kamal Nath is coming in it and BJP does not want their councilors to take oath in front of Kamal Nath. BJP’s elected councilor Kamlesh Agarwal says that the decision to take oath on August 8 is the party organization.
