International youth Day 2022: International Youth Day is celebrated every year on 12 August. This year’s theme is ‘Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages’ by the United Nations for International Youth Day to inspire the importance of the role of youth in development in nation building. History of International Youth Day
The 54/120 resolution was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 17 December 1999 during the Youth World Conference, recognizing the recommendations and proclaiming 12 August every year as International Youth Day. International Youth Day was started in 2000. The theme of World Youth Day observed in 2016 was Goal 2030: Eliminating poverty and achieving sustainable production consumption and consumption targets. The main objective of this day is to achieve the goal of sustainable development for the year 2030.

Importance of International Youth Day
