Uttar Pradesh Due to incessant rains in Etawah district of Etawah, major accidents occurred at many places. 10 people died in incidents at different places. The first incident is of village Chandrapura of Civil Line police station area. Where on Thursday night at around 2 o’clock 5 innocent children sleeping with their grandmother were injured by being buried in the debris of the wall of the house. He was admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Four siblings died in the hospital. The condition of the same grandmother and an innocent child is critical.
On the other hand, the second incident happened near Bhatia petrol pump of Ikdil police station area. The boundary wall of the petrol pump collapsed due to rain. The elderly husband and wife died on the spot by being buried under him. The bodies of the dead were immediately sent by the administration to the district headquarters post-mortem house across Panchnama.
Thatch fell on the person sleeping outside the house
The third incident is of Majra Baglan of Andwa village of Bakewar police station area. Jabar Singh, 50, was sleeping outside the house. He died on the spot due to the fall of thatch and wall. The fourth incident is from Patharia locality of Etawah city. A house collapsed due to heavy rain in the afternoon. Six people including 3 children were buried in this incident.
Nearby people informed the police department about the incident. The police and fire department reached the spot with the help of the local people and pulled out all the people trapped in the debris. All the injured were taken to the district hospital. Where doctors declared 3 children dead. At the same time, the treatment of a member including his mother and grandmother is still going on.
Many killed, many homes destroyed

Schools for young children have also been closed due to the rain.
SDM Sadar reached district hospital
Etawah Sadar SDM Vikram Singh Raghav said that a house collapsed due to incessant rains in the Kotwali area of the city. There was news of 6 people being buried in this incident. The administration team reached the spot and with the help of the local people, rescued the buried people. Where doctors declared three children dead. The treatment of the mother and her grandmother of the deceased children is going on. His condition is out of danger at present.
Etawah MP Professor Ramshankar reached Katheria District Hospital as soon as he got information about the incident. He inquired about the condition of the injured patients. Along with this, assured them of getting all possible help from the government. The MP also told the CMO about the poor arrangement in the hospital premises.
Unfortunate deaths due to rain
He said that the patients are being looked after properly in the hospital. The patient’s bottle was over but there was no nurse present there. The MP said that the patients are lying on the wet bed. There is no good system there. After the complaint of CMS, doctors and CMO regarding this, the matter was discussed with the DM. MP Ramshankar Katheria said that negligence will not be tolerated in the matter. The MP termed the deaths due to rain as unfortunate. He expressed grief over the death of four siblings of the same family. He said that the houses of those whose kutcha houses have fallen will definitely be built.
Administration gave assurance of help
DM Avnish Rai said that the death of 10 people in four different incidents so far is tragic. At the same time 7 people have been injured. All the injured are being fully taken care of. Now everyone’s condition is stable. According to the order of the government, the compensation amount of Rs 4-4 lakh will be transferred to everyone’s accounts within two-three days. Wherever houses have been damaged, the process of their construction will be started under the Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme. The administration is moving from place to place in tehsils. There will be no such incident in future. He said that all the people living in kutcha and dilapidated houses are being shifted to safer places.
