The peace of Haldwani, a city situated amidst mountains and greenery, has been disturbed these days. Miscreants created a ruckus on the streets of Haldwani on Thursday evening. Due to attacks on policemen, stone pelting and petrol bombs, two people have died and more than 100 people have been injured. DM Vandana Singh's action to control the atmosphere in Haldwani is being discussed everywhere.
Actually, the illegal madrasa was being removed with a bulldozer. During this time the crowd became furious and an attempt was made to set the police station on fire. The situation worsened to such an extent that orders were given to shoot at sight those creating trouble. DM Vandana Singh, who took action against the rioters, is known as a strict officer. After becoming IAS, Vandana got posting on the post of DM in Almora district. After this she became DM in Nainital district. Immediately after the riots that broke out in Haldwani city under Nainital district, DM Vandana has given orders to shoot the miscreants at sight. He told that an attempt was made by the miscreants to burn alive the officers present in the police station.

IAS Vandana Singh Chauhan is originally from Nasrullagarh, Haryana. He was born in a joint family. His early education was from his hometown itself.
