He told that in the first phase in the state, the procurement process of wheat which started from March 20 at 57 centers of Kota division will continue till June 30. The procurement of wheat in the remaining districts will start from April 1.
Khachariawas told that the work of wheat procurement will be done online in the state. For this, the state government has developed an online portal whose link is available on the website of the Food Department under the name of ‘Kisan Registration for Wheat Purchase’. He told that the work of registration has started from March 15.
He said that after registration, information will be sent through SMS on the registered mobile number to bring the day of weighing and the quantity of purchase to the concerned centre. If for some reason the farmer does not reach the purchase center on the scheduled date, he can get his crop weighed anytime within the next 10 days. After weighing, a copy of the receipt will also be given to the farmer.
At the same time, in case of any technical problem, the number available on the website can be contacted. Khachariawas told that the district collectors will be responsible for the entire supervision for the purchase of wheat. They will monitor it regularly on a daily basis. (input language)
