Congress criticized AAP
Several leaders of the Punjab unit of the Congress on Thursday criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the state for not releasing Navjot Singh Sidhu ahead of time from Patiala jail. Former state Congress chief Shamsher Singh Dhulo, former MP Mohinder Singh KP, former MLAs Ashwini Sekhri, Navtej Singh Cheema and Rajinder Singh gathered at Sidhu’s residence in Patiala to protest against the AAP government. It was expected by many that Sidhu could be among the 50 prisoners who could be given special remission on Republic Day.
