Major fire in boats
According to the information received, the fire started last night i.e. late Sunday night. Which continued till Monday morning. A video of this entire incident has also surfaced. In which it can be seen how badly the boat has been burnt to ashes.
Let us tell you that the local fishermen present at the port called the police and gave complete information about this incident. Along with this, fishermen told that the fire started from one boat, which soon spread to other boats. The fire spread so quickly because other boats were anchored around the boat that caught fire. This helped the fire spread quickly, as most boats were made of wood or had plastic on them, which further spread the fire.
LPG cylinders were kept in boats
According to the information received, the fire was caused by an LPG cylinder. People nearby told that many LPG cylinders were kept on the boats, due to which there was a sudden explosion in the boats and a huge fire broke out in no time. As soon as people saw the flames, there was chaos there.
Giving information about the matter, Deputy Commissioner of Police K Anand Reddy said that more than four fire engines have been deployed to control the fire. He said that till now there is no news of loss of life or property. Meanwhile, fishermen said that about 40 fishing boats have been damaged due to the fire. The cost of each boat was at least Rs 40 lakh. Police and fire service personnel said that after controlling the fire, they will find out the exact cause of the fire.
