Electrical Department This torch procession was taken out by the contract workers of Jalaun from the Power House situated on Orai Road of Konch Nagar, which was taken out till Mathura Prasad Mahavidyalaya.
In which dozens of contract workers of the Electricity Department were present. After taking out the torch procession, the employees of the Electricity Department, under the auspices of the Electricity Employees Joint Struggle Committee, together with all the electricity employees of the district, have started a two-day strike and protest demonstration at Urja Bhawan in Orai.
No demand was fulfilled even after 3 months
This strike is being done by the electrical workers with 15 point demands. In which the employees have advised the government to follow the promise given. Contract workers from all over the district gathered at Urja Bhawan in Orai, where they raised slogans against the Energy Minister. During this, Sunil, the District President of the Electricity Employees Joint Struggle Committee, told that in the month of November, when the electricity employees went on strike regarding their demands. Then in the month of December, State Government’s Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma intervened and assured the employees that their demands would be met at the earliest. Then somewhere the movement was postponed by all the employees.

But even after 3 months, neither the administration nor the management has not fulfilled their demands in any way and we are not being assured, now their words have changed, the demands remain the same. Rather, the employees are not making any illegal demands, all the demands have been made only for the interests of the employees.
If the demand is not fulfilled till March 16, there will be a big movement
The employees sitting on the strike say that the facilities which were being given to the employees till now, the same facilities are being violated by the government. All the employees have gathered for these demands, and are protesting for two days till March 16, if the government does not fulfill these demands as soon as possible, then it will go on continuously. The government has been given a deadline till March 16, if the government does not fulfill the demands before the deadline, then there will be a big movement which will create new problems for the government, so the government should fulfill the demands as soon as possible.
