Jhansi: Employees of Power Corporation in Uttar Pradesh strike Since the power system has faltered. In fact, the 72-hour strike of the electricity workers, which is going on for the last two days, under the banner of the Electricity Employees Joint Struggle Committee, has spoiled all the arrangements, due to which the rural areas are in a bad condition. Due to this, people yearned for water apart from their daily chores. Let us tell you that due to the failure of the power system, about 125 villages have been affected, due to which people spent the night in darkness. Please inform that, for the time being, the strike of the electricity employees is over.

The rural areas have been badly affected due to the ongoing strike of the employees for 2 days. Where 7 sub-stations in rural areas remained breakdown for about 24 hours. Due to which 125 villages were seen immersed in darkness. During this time there is no one to rectify the problem. However, the power situation in the urban areas has been normal.
People took the help of hand pump and well in the village
On the other hand, due to the strike of electricity employees, the supply of places like Erich, Garautha, Gursarayan, Jujharpura, Karkosa, Baidora etc. in Jhansi district has stopped. Where supply is not being done from many feeders of Chirgaon. In such a situation, due to the shutdown of electricity supply in the rural areas, the local people even yearned for water. Along with this, the problem of irrigation and drinking water has arisen for the farmers. Where people in the village are resorting to handpumps and wells.

Only 400 MW of electricity was produced due to the strike.
According to the information received, a unit of 210 MW could not be commissioned on the second day of the strike at Parichha Thermal Power Plant located in Jhansi district. Due to which the power generation capacity of the thermal power plant is 920 MW. Whereas, only 400 MW of electricity was produced due to the strike. During this, all the employees in the city remained on strike. The office bearers of the committee have warned that if their demands are not met then the next 72 hours strike will be indefinite.
