Doctor On Wheel Scheme: Delhi government has decided to launch Doctor on Wheels scheme for construction workers. Health checkup of construction workers will be done at the construction site. Apart from this, the facility of mobile crche will be started for the children. This decision was taken in the 39th meeting of the Delhi Construction Workers Welfare Board chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia. Under this meeting, the progress of 17 ongoing welfare schemes for the workers was reviewed.
17 Welfare Scheme
With this scheme, a mobile crche will also be started for the care of the children of the workers living with the family. In the meeting chaired by Manish Sisodia, it was decided that the board has also updated its website to connect with the workers easily. With this, the workers will easily get information about the scheme. Manish Sisodia said that financial help has been given by giving assistance amounting to more than 600 crores. Kejriwal government is running 17 welfare schemes for construction workers.

Financial assistance of Rs 13 crore
Last year, under these schemes, financial assistance of Rs 13 crore was given to construction workers. Now the Construction Workers Welfare Board is upgrading its website to ensure easy access for the construction workers to the facilities provided by the government. The Deputy Chief Minister said that whatever decisions have been taken will be implemented soon. According to the government, health check-up camps will be set up at construction sites in every district. Apart from this, children are often seen at construction sites where both parents are working.

The best day care will be provided to the workers through the facility of craze. For the training of construction workers by the Delhi Government, a training program named Kushal Karmi is being run by Delhi Scale and Friendship University. Here construction workers are given training on the construction site itself. Officials say that at present this program is being run in pilot phase with 200 construction workers at three construction sites.
