What is the plan of Kejriwal government to make Peeragarhi Chowk jam-free
1. Improvement of Peeragarhi Chowk Junction
Construction of 1-lane left turn lane for smooth movement of traffic from Nangloi to Mangolpuri
-Construction of 2-lane Slip Road from Mangolpuri to Punjabi Bagh for South-Left turn
Construction of 2-lane slip road for westbound left turn from Punjabi Bagh to Vikas Puri
2. Widening of ROB along Ring Road towards Mangolpuri
At present, the road on one part of ROB going towards Mangolpuri along Ring Road is less wide by a distance of about 400-500 meters, which creates traffic problem at that place, so here it is up to 500 meters on both sides of the existing ROB. It will be widened by increasing -3 lanes. This will reduce the traffic.
3. Construction of Flyover on Laxmi Narayan Mandir Road
A 600 meter long flyover of 3 lanes on both sides of the metro line will be constructed on Laxmi Narayan Mandir Road near Udyog Nagar Metro Station. The total width of its carriageway will be 20 meters. With this flyover, the traffic load from the existing road will be reduced and the traffic will be smooth.
4. Underpass U-turn for right turning traffic on Chaudhary Balbir Singh Marg
To make the road signal free, a 6.6 meter wide 2-lane underpass U-turn will be made here. Being signal free will reduce traffic on the road and there will be no problem in vehicular movement.
5. Construction of 2 foot over bridges on both sides of Rohtak road near Peeragarhi Chowk
Keeping in mind the easy movement and safety of pedestrians, PWD will construct a foot over bridge near Peeragarhi metro station and on the road going towards Punjabi Bagh while descending from Ring Road.
