Delhi Liquor Shops: A relief news has come to the fore for liquor sellers and liquor lovers. Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party has issued an order to give two more months extension to all shops selling country liquor. The order was issued late Sunday night. According to the information received, due to the closure of private liquor shops in Delhi from August 1, the shortage of liquor will end.
Extended license period by 2 months
The Kejriwal government of Delhi has extended the new excise policy by 1 month for the sale of country liquor under L-3/33 license till 30 September 2022. After the announcement of the new excise policy, privately operated liquor shops also put up offers to clear their stock on Saturday. Plans like ‘buy one get two free’ were offered. Due to which there was a huge crowd at the liquor shops.

With the end of the new policy, apart from privately operated liquor shops in the city, restaurants with hotels, clubs and bars and product licenses issued for wholesale operations will also become useless. No information has been given by the Delhi government or its excise department about the arrangements being made to ensure the supply of liquor in the city after the new excise policy is withdrawn.

National Restaurant Association of India President Kapil Suri says that there is a lack of cleanliness on the emerging situation and things can be cleared only after future directions of the Delhi government.
