Lt Governor VK Saxena last month recommended a CBI probe after the Delhi Chief Secretary’s report alleging irregularities in Delhi’s new liquor policy. Liquor shop licenses were given to private traders under the policy launched in November. There have been allegations of corruption in this liquor policy. In this case, AAP has accused the BJP-led central government of misusing the central machinery. On the other hand, Manish Sisodia has said that this policy has been made to check corruption in government liquor shops. Sisodia had recently claimed that the BJP had offered to withdraw all cases against him and make him the chief minister if he joins the party.
