Dehradun to Delhi Expressway: It will now be a matter of 2.5 hours for the people of the state to travel from Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun to the country’s capital Delhi. Plans are underway to start a non-stop bus service from the capital Dehradun to Delhi. Before starting this bus service, work is going on fast on a 6 lane expressway connecting Dehradun to Delhi. Work is underway to get it ready before March 2024 next year. There are also possibilities that the work will be completed on time. After this, from 2024 itself, this non-stop bus service will be seen running fast on this expressway.
When is it likely to be completed
Let us tell you that a few days back Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had come on his visit to Parmarth Niketan Ashram located in Rishikesh of the state. While updating about this expressway, he expressed hope that it is our endeavor to finish the work by December and from January 1, 2024, the people of the state can travel from Dehradun to Delhi on this expressway. 40 percent work of its first phase between Akshardham to Loni has been completed. In the second phase, 45-50 per cent of Loni to Baghpat Eastern Peripheral Expressway has been completed. About 90 percent pillars are ready.

4 districts of UP will get direct benefit
After the completion of this expressway, five districts of UP will start getting its benefits from next year. In which Ghaziabad, Baghpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar along with some other districts will also be connected directly to Dehradun-Delhi. After the commencement of this expressway, the biggest benefit will be given to those devotees who visit Chardham of Uttarakhand. Along with this, the tourism industry of the state is expected to get a new momentum.
