He said that this is happening for the first time in history. With the running of these buses, the last miles connectivity will be improved. Kailash Gehlot said that by the end of 2025, the number of buses in Delhi will be increased to 10,480, and 80 percent of these will be electric buses. The government has proposed a budget of 3500 crores for connectivity. At the same time, Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan bus depots will be redeveloped on PPP model.
Women will be able to travel free in DTC buses this year also
Kailash Gehlot said that the women of the capital have traveled free of cost more than 100 crore times in three and a half years. In view of this, this free bus travel scheme will continue in the coming financial year as well. Along with this, the Finance Minister told that today there are 34 women bus drivers driving DTC buses. No other state in the country has such a large number of women drivers in transport.
42 thousand women went to mohalla clinic in 4 months
Appreciating the government’s Mohalla Clinic project, the Finance Minister said that it is the backbone of Delhi’s primary health care system. He said that women have benefited the most from Mohalla clinics. In the last four months, 42,000 women have visited Mohalla clinics specially made for women.

He said that cervical cancer is also screened in Mahila Mohalla clinics. Keeping all these successes in mind, the AAP government has decided to build 100 more such facilities as part of Delhi’s budget 2023.
