Death of terrorist Shahzad, serving sentence in Batla House case, was undergoing treatment in AIIMS

National Capital of the Year Delhi Shahzad, the terrorist of K Batla House encounter case, has died. The terrorist who shot Inspector Chandramohan Sharma in the Batla House encounter had stones in his gall bladder. Because of this, he was very troubled by the pain for about one and a half months. This terrorist was arrested in 2010, since then he was lodged in Tihar Jail. Jail management got him treated in many hospitals, but there was no relief. Finally, on Saturday night, he succumbed to the pain. A dozen criminal cases were registered against this terrorist named Shahzad alias Pappu in many different police stations.

According to the Tihar Jail management, Shahzad, the terrorist arrested in the Batla House encounter, was locked up since 2010. Here for a few days there was a stone in his gall bladder. Because of this he was going through unbearable pain. Shown in different hospitals for the treatment of this disease. He was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Saturday itself, where he died during treatment. Officials said that he was ill for one and a half months. He was first admitted to GTB Hospital, but after not improving, he was brought to AIIMS, where his condition worsened and he died shortly after.

The terrorist was a resident of Azamgarh

According to jail officials, terrorist Shahzad was originally a resident of Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. His native village is Khalispur village in Azamgarh. This terrorist associated with the Indian Mujahideen was punished in the year 2013. At the same time, its two other associates Atif Amin and Mohammad Sajid were killed by the police in the same encounter.

Terrorist was locked in barrack eight for 13 years

According to jail officials, this dreaded terrorist was brought to Tihar Jail on February 6, 2010. Here he was kept in barrack number eight and nine. However, in view of his illness, last year on July 7, 2022, he was shifted to barrack number 15 of Mandoli Jail. This notorious terrorist was a member of the Indian Mujahideen (IM). This terrorist is accused of killing Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma during the 2008 Batla House encounter. It is alleged that a constable was also killed in this attack.
