4 forms rejected out of 20 forms
Madhusudan said that a total of 20 forms were submitted last Friday, out of which the scrutiny committee rejected four forms due to problem of signature. Subsequently, KN Tripathi’s form was also rejected as it was not fulfilling the prescribed criteria. After this, the names of Malikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor are included in the two current contenders for the post of Congress President. Now there will be a tough competition between these two for the post of president.

Ashok Gehlot’s name in front
Shashi Tharoor had filed his nomination papers on 30 September. The same Mallikarjun Kharge resigned from the post of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha after filing nomination for the post of Speaker. Earlier, the name of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was in a lot of discussions for the Congress President election. But he refused to resign from his chief minister’s post. On the other hand, there was a lot of debate about the name of Sachin Pilot. According to the condition of Ashok Gehlot, he does not consider Sachin Pilot as a candidate for the post of president.
Digvijay Singh was made in discussions
Let us tell you that the name of senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh was also included in the contenders for the post of President. But after announcing his nomination, he withdrew from the race for the post of President on Friday. In the end, only two names are left of Shashi Tharoor and Malikarjun Kharge.
