Some different types of notices have been put up outside Jalandhar police stations in Punjab. Those who go to police stations wearing shorts and capris will not be heard. Police say that many people have protested against this, due to which this decision has been taken. Police have also said that this notification has been put up several days ago. In this notice, the police has appealed to the people to come to the police station wearing full clothes.
According to the information, a poster was seen put up at police station number 4 of Jalandhar. It is written in clear letters on this poster that ‘It is prohibited to come inside the police station wearing shorts and capris.’ This poster is written in Punjabi language. Due to which it becomes easy for everyone to read. When the police officer was talked to after this poster, he told the reason behind it.
Additional SHO Surjeet Singh said that many people do not understand the dignity of the police station and come to the police station in shorts and capris. Many people from the police staff have lodged objections in this matter. He has also said that many people are sensible and do not do such things, but some people come in shorts and capris with their complaints. Surjeet Singh said that when more people come to the police station to lodge their complaints, some different people also come along with them.
The police officer even said that if someone comes to the police station in such clothes, no legal action will be taken on his complaint. He also said that the staff has alerted people about this several times. However, this notice was issued several days ago and is posted outside many police stations.
