According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Friday evening, exports of agriculture and its products have reached an all-time high of Rs 3,74,611 crore during the last financial year, 2021-22, with a growth of 20.79%. According to the minister, Gujarat and Maharashtra led the agriculture and allied product exports in the western region. After this, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal in the eastern region, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana in the central or northern region, and Karnataka and Kerala in the southern region exported the most agricultural products. In a written reply, the minister said that in the financial year 2021-22, the value of marine products increased by Rs 13,734.61 crore, while the value of sugar increased by Rs 13,676.12 crore. According to Krishi Jagran, the value of wheat exported increased by Rs 11,672.37 crore in FY 2021-22, while rice, excluding basmati, increased by Rs 10,168.39 crore.
