Let us tell you that the state government had introduced this Reservation Amendment Bill during the winter session of the Assembly. After which this bill was passed in both the houses on 9 November. The scope of reservation was expanded in this passed bill.

Interestingly, this bill was also supported by the main opposition party of the state i.e. BJP. BJP did not raise any objection to get this bill passed. After this, as soon as he returned from Delhi, Governor Rajendra approved the Reservation Bill 2023.

CM had announced to increase the 60 percent reservation to 75 percent. After this announcement of CM, a cabinet meeting was called.
