The massacre was carried out to avenge him.
There was ruckus after the murder of TMC leader
It is alleged that many houses in Bogtui village were set on fire that night to avenge that incident. Seven bodies were recovered from the village the next day of the incident. Later, two more people died in Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital. The CBI had filed a charge sheet regarding that incident on 21 June. Meanwhile, one accused Lalan Sheikh was absconding from the area after the incident. Eventually the CBI officers arrested him by conducting a raid on Saturday night.
Massacre took place in the village in revenge of the murder, 10 were killed
Let us tell you that earlier, many people were arrested on suspicion of being involved in this incident. One of the perpetrators of this tragic murder, Anarul Shaikh, was arrested earlier. A few days ago, Lalan Sheikh’s nephew Bulu Sheikh alias Dollar was also arrested by the officials of the Central Investigation Agency.
