Kuntal Ghosh gave a car worth 40 lakhs to Boney Sengupta
Boney Sengupta’s girlfriend actress Kaushani Mukhopadhyay had come in contact with one of her close friends after ED’s arrest. A close friend of actress Kuntal Ghosh, Soma worked as a model in Chakraborty’s nail parlor. After this the name of Boney Sengupta was added. In interrogation with ED officials, Kuntal Ghosh claimed that he had given 40 lakhs to Boney Sengupta to buy a car out of the money taken from the market in the recruitment scam. After this, Boney Sengupta got a call at CGO Complex. He was also questioned twice. The source of money for Boney Sengupta’s foreign travel was also questioned. After that Boney Sengupta told ED that he had bought the car with Rs 40 lakh given by Kuntal.

ED officials interrogated Boney and Soma
According to ED sources, Boney Sengupta claimed that he did not directly take the money given by Kuntal in 2017. Instead, the money was sent to the showroom of the car. He also claimed that he had borrowed money to buy a car, but later returned the loaned money to the youth leader by participating in various functions organized by Kuntal Ghosh and without taking any remuneration for the same. On the second day of the ED’s questioning, Boney Sengupta was questioned by reporters about the refund, while exiting the CGO. Boney replied that he would think about it. According to ED sources, Boney Sengupta wept bitterly during the interrogation. Meanwhile, he returned the money to Kuntal Ghosh. Along with this, Soma has also returned the money.
