The counting of votes in 7 municipal bodies in Auraiya started at 7 am. Right from the first round of vote counting, there was a fierce fight between BJP, SP and Independent candidates. But, as time passed the situation became clear. SP’s Anoop Kumar Gupta has hoisted the flag of victory from Auraiya Nagar Palika Parishad.

In Dibiyapur Nagar Panchayat, BJP’s Raghav Mishra and Independent Anwar Qureshi have won the election in Phaphund. The seat of Ajitmal Nagar Panchayat has gone to BJP’s account. BJP candidate Asha Chak has won from here. SP candidate Arun Kumar Dubey Rintu has won from Achalda.
Independent candidate was victorious in Bidhuna
Independent Adarsh Mishra has won a strong victory in Bidhuna Nagar Panchayat. The police officers had increased the security outside the counting places so that there should not be any disturbance in the counting of votes. District Election Officer, Deputy District Election Officer and other officers kept reviewing the arrangements.

In Atsu Nagar Panchayat, a close fight was witnessed between the independent candidate and the BJP candidate. In the initial round of counting of votes, as soon as the independent candidate took a lead, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha workers started a ruckus. After this, recounting was done again by the district administration. Even after this, BJP candidate Richa Rajput could not register victory. From here independent candidate Indu Gupta has won the election by 205 votes.
