Kolkata: The two-day National Executive Council meeting of the Samajwadi Party is going to be held on Saturday. The meeting will be addressed by the top leadership of the party. In which the National President Akhilesh Yadav Will also attend. The agenda of the meeting is to finalize the roadmap for the 2024 parliamentary elections, as Akhilesh Yadav has been repeatedly saying that his party will not be a part of any program of the main opposition Congress party. This will be the first conference of the Samajwadi Party’s top leadership after the death of three-time Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and former Union Defense Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in October last year.
The Samajwadi Party has been avoiding the Congress for some time now. Especially since the Congress party has become a very weak force in India’s most populous state. Can Akhilesh Yadav become PM?
The real contest in Uttar Pradesh will largely be between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party, so it is expected that the SP will focus on each seat and try to identify candidates who can win 62 and 71 seats (respectively) out of 80 in Uttar Pradesh.
