All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi (AIIMS) Server down for a week though on the server E Hospital The data has been restored. currently in hospital Internet Services are closed. After the cyber attack, the National Informatics Center (NIC) of AIIMS and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team have been trying to repair the server for several days, but they are not getting success. At present, the services including OPD in the hospital are running on manual mode only, due to which the patients are facing a lot of trouble.
Meanwhile, it is also important to know that how did the server of the country’s biggest government hospital get hacked? Is it the negligence of the employees or is there some other reason. To know this, we have talked to an official of the hospital administration. The official says on the condition of anonymity that the system of cyber security in the hospital is not good. Viruses affecting the computer and the system were not being properly taken care of, due to which the firewall was not working properly. Firewall is a part of the computer system itself. Which protects computer and cyber systems from any kind of unauthorized use.
If it is fine then it is not sky to make any kind of dent in the system. But the server has been hacked due to the negligence of the employees and lack of proper maintenance of the system. This is the reason why two system analysts have also been suspended for negligence in work.

AIIMS administration says that the work of restoring the data and fixing the server is going on. It is taking time due to large amount of data. Measures are being taken for cyber security and steps are being taken to strengthen the online system by meeting with the officials. Officials of NIA, India Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), Delhi Police, IB, CBI and Home Ministry are constantly monitoring this matter.
