Earlier on September 5 (Tuesday), Aditya L1 had completed the second orbit of the Earth. The mission had then covered a distance of 40,225 kilometres.

ISRO has given this new information regarding the mission. Giving information about the third orbit adjustment on the social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), ISRO said that Bengaluru-based ITRAC has successfully raised the orbit of Aditya L-1 for the third time. Now it has entered the third orbit.
ISRO said that during this operation, ISRO ground stations in Mauritius, Bengaluru, SDSC-Shar and Port Blair tracked the satellite. The new orbit obtained is 296 km x 71767 km. “The next maneuver (EBN#4) is scheduled for approximately 02:00 on September 15, 2023.”
