Uttarakhand’s Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal presented the budget in the assembly on Wednesday. This budget presented by him is about 18.05 percent more than last year. In the budget session, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami himself and Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal were seen wearing dhoti-kurta and mountain cap with budget briefcase in hand. In his budget speech, the Finance Minister kept the main focus on the education, sports and youth welfare departments and announced Rs 10,459 crore for these departments. In this sequence, he made a provision of 4 thousand 217 crores for improving health services, 2 thousand 525 crores for drinking water, housing and city development. While 1 thousand 294 crore rupees have been allocated for agriculture.

In the budget of Uttarakhand, a provision of Rs 552 crore has been made for labor and employment, while a provision of Rs 3 thousand 272 crore has been made for rural development, Rs 1 thousand 443 crore for irrigation and Rs 1 thousand 251 crore in the name of energy. Similarly, a provision of Rs 2 thousand 791 crore has been made for PWD, Rs 461 crore for industry, Rs 453 crore for transport and Rs 302 crore for tourism. At the same time, a provision of Rs 617 crore has been made for animal husbandry and Rs 815 crore for horticulture development.
Joshimath’s challenge solved with the help of the Center
During the budget session, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the landslide incident in Joshimath was a big challenge for the government. Due to the active cooperation of the Centre, the state government has been successful in tackling this challenge. He said that the Prime Minister himself was personally monitoring the situation. He said that a provision of Rs 1,000 crore has been made for Joshimath in the state budget presented in the assembly on Wednesday. During this, he said that Uttarakhand Bhawan will be constructed in Ayodhya. For this, the Uttar Pradesh government has agreed to give one acre of land in Ayodhya to Uttarakhand.
