Who was Devraha Baba?
It is believed that Devraha Baba was born in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. But no one knows in which year. No one even knows how many years he lived. Those who saw him used to say that ever since they saw him, they saw him in the same form. Due to this it was difficult to guess his age.
However, many people also believed that Devraha Baba lived a life of more than a hundred years. Devraha Baba used to live on a scaffolding made of wooden sticks. That was his abode. Which was 3 kilometers away from the banks of Saryu river. Actually he was a monk of Vrindavan. People believed that he had miraculous powers. He also used to talk to birds and animals and could also walk on water.
People of all castes and religions used to come to meet him. He never divided his devotees into communities and castes. People used to come from far and wide to seek his blessings and used to wait for hours. The most important thing is that he used to bless his devotees with his feet. He died in June 1990.

Political giants used to go to Baba’s court
All the political giants also used to go to Devraha Baba’s court. Right from the country’s first President Rajendra Prasad to the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had deep faith in him. At the same time, apart from former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav, former Bihar CM Jagannath Mishra and Lalu Prasad Yadav also used to come to seek his blessings.

Amitabh Bachchan also had deep faith in the miraculous power of Devraha Baba. When Amitabh Bachchan was injured during the shooting of the film Coolie, he gave him the talisman.
