Kovid has affected the mind a lot. Many types of neurological problems are being seen in patients who have recovered from this virus. People are not even aware of the symptoms of this disease.
Are you not sleeping? Have to sleep late at night. After going to sleep, you wake up early. Apart from this, if you are having trouble forgetting or are not paying attention in any work, then you should contact the doctor as soon as possible. Such problems are being seen a lot in patients who have recovered from Kovid. Dr. Manjari Tripathi, Additional Professor in the Department of Neuro, AIIMS, New Delhi, told in a conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsh that not only in India but all over the world. covid Since then these problems have increased. the problem of forgetting Alzheimer’s called disease. The number of its patients has increased. He said that after Kovid, the biggest problem about this disease is that people are not aware that they have become a victim of such a serious disease.
What does research say
Dr Manjari Tripathi said that after Kovid, people are having problems of brain fog and forgetfulness. Along with this, the second thing is that there is fatigue in post covid patients and there are many cases of not being able to work. Before Kovid, if we talk about 50 years and 70 years old people also used to run a lot, but in the last 2 years everything has stopped because of this problem. He said that this problem has happened all over the world. After Kovid, the problem of Long Kovid has also become a big problem.
Why Alzheimer’s disease increased
Dr Manjari Tripathi told that the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease has not been done properly in the last two years. This disease has increased in large numbers after Kovid-19. Because patients were deprived of treatment for 2 years. Earlier this disease was seen more in the elderly of 60 years, but now this disease has increased in younger people also.
Policy change is very important
R Narendra, National Executive Director of ARDS, told TV9 Bharatvarsh that when it comes to Alzheimer’s patients in India, two-thirds of the people are in the ruler area, where there is no primary medical center related to this disease. In such a situation, it is more necessary to change the policy. He said that in whatever policies we do, we see more of the urban area, but just think about those who live in the ruler area. Where it is very difficult to reach even tertiary care. In recent times, the central government has talked about setting up a wellness clinic. R Narendra said that even if a memory clinic is set up at each district level, the problem can be solved very quickly.
What is Alzheimer’s disease?
Doctor Manjari said that the biggest problem is that the patient is not ready to understand that he has Alzheimer’s. People over the age of sixty feel that he is very troubled by the problem of forgetting. He also feels that it is a complaint of age but in reality he has already been a victim of Alzheimer’s disease. He said that in reality people have not yet understood this disease. Nowadays, very few people are aware of this. The person suffering from this disease also forgets who his or her close relative’s memory slowly starts ending.
10 Symptoms of Alzheimer’s
1. In the then symptoms, the person starts forgetting his minor work. (such as the habit of picking up the telephone, counting money, or driving the vehicle according to the rules)

Avoid using the wrong medicines
Doctor Manjari told that usually the disease of not sleeping is called insomnia. After Kovid, it has been found that people are having nightmares in their sleep, some people get up in panic. Along with this, sleep does not come early and if sleep comes, then wake up in between or get up early in the morning. Such symptoms are visible enough. We call it Insomnia in medical language. In such a situation, people start taking medicines very quickly. It is more important that do not take medicines immediately because these medicines are such that once started, they will not be missed. He said that the doctor will tell you two types of treatment, one is the behavioral ones, in which Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Yoga Nidra or Yoga Therapy or Medicine. For short duration, we can give short-term medicines, which is the best medicine, for sleep in which we do not get used to taking medicines, then it is very important that the medicine should be taken in the right way.
Important Responsibilities of the Caretaker
Renu Vohra, counselor of the Alzheimer’s Society, told TV9 Bharatvarsh that post Kovid-19 these things have increased. Early detection of disease and diagnosis is almost over due to Kovid. The caretakers of the patients are facing the most trouble. If the care takers are not able to take care of the patient properly, then the patient is getting irritated even more.
