CBI did a fair investigation of the case- Court
At present, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the matter. The CBI alleges that Jiah’s friend Sooraj Pancholi abetted her to commit suicide on June 3, 2013. At the same time, Rabia claims that Jia was murdered. The court said in its order that the CBI investigated the matter from every aspect and found that it was a case of suicide. Jiah Khan was found dead at her Mumbai home in 2013.
Suraj Pancholi was accused
The CBI is currently investigating the death of Jiah Khan, who on June 3, 2013, accused actor Sooraj Pancholi, Jiah’s boyfriend, of abetment to suicide. The late actress’s mother Rabia had alleged that Jiah was murdered. The Bombay High Court in its order said that the CBI conducted a detailed investigation from all possible angles and concluded that it was a case of suicide.
Jiya’s mother is deferring the case
A division bench of Justice AS Gadkari and Justice MN Jadhav, in its order dated September 12, made this remark while dismissing the petition seeking a fresh probe into the matter through Rabia Khan. The bench said that it cannot go beyond its territorial jurisdiction and cannot direct the FBI to investigate the matter. The court said, “The repeated requests of the petitioner (Rabia Khan) to the court to conclude that the death of the victim (Jia Khan) in this case was homicide and not suicide, is a clear indication of postponing the trial.
